The 2025 Beach ParaVolley World Championships have been awarded to the Local Organising Committee of the 2025 World Abilitysport Beach Games and the city of Mersin, Türkiye.

The Games will mark the first Para sport exclusively for beach and aquatic disciplines and will be held along the picturesque 116km of Mersin coastline from 18-25 October 2025.

The President of NPC Türkiye and the Local Organising Committee, Murat Aksu said, “On behalf of the Local Organising Committee and the city of Mersin, we are delighted to be awarded the 2025 Beach ParaVolley World Championships.”“We are committed to ensuring these Games leave a legacy and we are excited to be building a bespoke beach paravolley venue in the city to be used for the first time at the Games, that can then be used by Para athletes for many years to come.”

The inclusion of beach paravolley at the first World Abilitysport Beach Games marks the start of active cooperation following the renewed signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between World Abilitysport and World ParaVolley in October 2023.

David Cox, World ParaVolley’s Assistant Sport Director for Beach ParaVolley said of the award, “this is an awesome opportunity for all of our athletes and for the sport of Beach ParaVolley. Being able to have the World Championships in Türkiye, with both World Abilitysport and the NPC Türkiye as partners, will guarantee the best possible conditions for a successful Championship.”
