Stephen Giugni, a World ParaVolley International Referee, was recently recognised by the Australian Government for achievement and service to the community.  Stephen was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia as part of the recent 2016 Australia Day celebrations.  In Stephen’s case, this was for service to Volleyball including his commitment to ParaVolley.

In Australia, Stephen works to educate and mentor referees across the range of volleyball disciplines.  He has also had a long and successful career supporting ParaVolley for 18 years and after Rio 2016 will have refereed at four Paralympic Games.  World ParaVolley looks forward to Stephen continuing to support our sport for many years to come.
