Italy are in a must-win situation in Pool A when they face Rio 2016 bronze medallists Brazil in the opening match at 10.00 local time. The Brazilians have already secured their place in the semifinals, following their victories against Japan and Canada.

In the other Pool A encounter at 20.30, Canada are seeking to claim a win against hosts Japan to gain more points and increase their chances of moving to the next round, should the Italians prevail over the Brazilians in the opening match.

Both USA and RPC have a 1-1 record, both losses handed to them by former Paralympic champions China. USA need to win to be able to defend their title, while RPC are seeking for another upset to gain the chance to win their first ever Paralympic medal.
