Bangkok, Thailand, June 12, 2019 – Korea claimed their second win in the men’s tournament after a sweep of hosts Thailand in the 2019 ParaVolley Asia Oceania Sitting Volleyball Championships at Huamark Indoor Stadium on Wednesday.
The Thais, who earlier won their match against Japan in straight sets, were not able to sustain their momentum and conceded their second match against Korea in straight sets (25-20, 25-18, 25-17).
The Koreans, on the other hand, entered the match with strong determination to win after coming off a loss to China on Tuesday night. The East Asian team prevailed in the tough first set encounter using their advantage in block, then continued to push their rivals behind with a stronger presence on the attack in the second set.
By the third set, the Koreans already had the momentum and responded quickly to stop each run by their Thai counterparts until they reached the end of the set with a 25-17 scoreline.
