Bangkok, Thailand, June 10, 2019 – Iran showed a clear upward trend on their straight-set (25-15, 25-13, 25-6) win over Cambodia in the opening match of the 2019 ParaVolley Asia Oceania Sitting Volleyball Championships at the Huamark Indoor Stadium on Monday.
Iran had an upbeat start to dominate their Southeast Asian counterparts in the opening set, mounting a 10-point edge to win the set at 25-15. In the second set, the Iranians showed more grit on the attack to overpower the Cambodians with a 25-13 win.
By the third set, the Iranians just pounded on every opportunity on the attack to build a big cushion. Two attacks that were touched by the Cambodian block sealed set and match 25-6.
The Iranians, especially Hossein Golestani, reigned on the attack and block.
