Bangkok, Thailand, June 11, 2019 – Iran defeated China (25-21, 25-15, 25-19) on Tuesday to get a perfect start in the men’s tournament of the 2019 ParaVolley Asia Oceania Sitting Volleyball Championships at the Huamark Indoor Stadium.
Iran outlasted China after a point-by-point exchange from the start of the first set until the score of 18-all. Iran managed to get the two-point edge and got a couple of good runs that extended their lead, eventually leading them to the opening set win at 25-21.
By the second set, the reigning world champions have already established their control and maintained a strong pace on the attack and block. The Iranians widened the gap at 16-9 and extended it to a double-digit advantage by the end of the set 25-15.
Iran kept China at bay from making successful forays that could interrupt their good run at the start of the set and continued with a well-ordered pace that allowed them to end the set at 25-19 and complete their 3-0 winning run in the tournament.
