RUS M & W PREVAIL AT 2017 PARAVOLLEY EUROPE SITTING VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!
After months of preparation, days of travel, and days of competition, Team Russia came out on top of all other teams at the 2017 ParaVolley Europe Sitting Volleyball Championships! Both the men’s and women’s teams took home the Gold Medals.

In the men’s competition, Russia dominated over Ukraine, winning 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-17) with a very strong team effort, highlighted by the tournament MVP Viktor Mikenin.
The Russian women also played Ukraine in the final, and also won 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-10) in a dominating performance. The tournament-long strong play of Iuliia Mednikova was again a factor in the Gold Medal match, in which she scored 16 points. Her performance earned her the MVP award for the competition.
The Bronze medals went to Bosnia and Herzegovina for the men, and to the Netherlands for the women.
