History – it is valuable and it needs to be recorded.
We need you!
Since World ParaVolley as such began in 1980, much history has been written about our various Volleyball disciplines. It has been an incredible history with the organization being an independent not-for-profit yet always, through an immense number of volunteers, being able to survive and prosper.
Unfortunately, to date the records and photographs of all of the activities have been very scattered across the world – sometimes held by individuals, sometimes by organizations.
With a 40 year birthday coming up for World ParaVolley in 2020, we would like to be able to celebrate with well-ordered archives and a brief history of the organization. We can only achieve this if there is an individual who is able to volunteer their time as a historian/archivist and begin to organise all of the material and produce an interpretive history using written material and photographs. Make no mistake – this is a lot of work and the activity probably requires a team of people led by a World ParaVolley Chief Historian.
