Lori Okimura joins World ParaVolley as Beach ParaVolley Rules of the Game Committee Chair

World ParaVolley is proud to announce the appointment of USA Volleyball Board of Directors Chair Lori Okimura as the World ParaVolley Beach ParaVolley Rules of the Game Committee Chair.

Okimura joins World ParaVolley at a critical time with Beach ParaVolley striving to enter the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. “Her experience at the helm of USA Volleyball and globally with both paravolley and volleyball will be a huge asset for World ParaVolley,” said World ParaVolley President Barry Couzner. “We are fortunate to have someone as experienced and qualified as Lori assisting with the development of Beach ParaVolley as we strive towards LA 2028.”

Okimura has an extensive beach volleyball background with the FIVB, having been a Technical Supervisor for many FIVB events around the world for many years.  A qualified Level 3 Technical Official of World ParaVolley, Okimura, who was the Beach At-Large Director to the USA Volleyball Board of Directors and is about to complete her second term as Chair of USA Volleyball, has also agreed to serve on the World ParaVolley Beach ParaVolley Commission, of which Chris Seilkop is the Chair.
