Isabelle Collot named assistant sport director

Isabelle Collot adds to the list of World ParaVolley’s trailblazing women after being named assistant sport director for sitting volleyball. She now becomes the first female to be appointed to the position in World ParaVolley history.

Collot is a veteran in the sport, having played both volleyball and sitting volleyball in the past. She also worked behind the scenes of the London 2012 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, and jined the European Volleyball Confederation for five years.

For more than a decade, Collot has been involved in paravolley. In 2015, she joined the French Volleyball Federation (FFVolley) as a sitting volleyball consultant and took charge of the communication to develop the discipline.

A year later, Collot joined the ParaVolley Europe Board as a marketing and communication director before being named to the FFVolley Sitting Volleyball Commission in 2017. She now represents sitting volleyball in the FFVolley board and serves as president of its sitting volleyball commission.

Taking her talents to World ParaVolley, Collot has been a vital part of World ParaVolley events as media delegate since 2017.
