Georgia became the first country to win back to back Invictus Games Sitting Volleyball gold medals after beating the United Kingdom 2-0 (21-14, 21-12) in the 2018 final in Sydney on Tuesday.
A packed crowd at the Quaycentre in Sydney saw defending champions Georgia prove too good for United Kingdom for the second edition in a row after the same two teams reached the final in Toronto last year.
It continues the great from for Georgia who haven’t dropped a set in the passed two tournaments and finished fourth in 2014, third in 2016 and have now won the last two editions. While the UK have reached the final in all four editions winning three silver medals and a gold.
