
World ParaVolley is pleased to announce that the bid submitted by the Gulf Coast Region of USA Volleyball has been officially accepted to host the 2027 World ParaVolley Standing Beach Volleyball Championships.
The landmark global event will take place from May 3–10, 2027, in Gulf Shores, Alabama, USA.
Bringing together elite athletes from around the globe, the 2027 World Championships will serve as a premier showcase for standing beach ParaVolley, marking another critical milestone in the sport’s strategic development path toward inclusion in future Paralympic Games programs.
The successful bid is supported by Alabama’s Beaches Sports & Events and the City of Gulf Shores, who join World ParaVolley and USA Volleyball’s Gulf Coast Region in preparing to welcome international delegations, teams, and fans to Alabama’s Gulf Coast.
Driving Global Growth and Preparation
With early confirmation of the host city and dates, World ParaVolley encourages National ParaVolley Organizations (NPOs) and National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) to begin event preparation, team planning, and qualification logistics. Comprehensive early promotion aims to assist national federations in securing necessary support, funding, and resources to field teams for the championship.
