Approach

Each of the above workforce pathways are based on the 3 E’s approach to developing people:

Hosting an Education Course

Hosting a WPV course not only builds local workforce capacity but also demonstrates a commitment to the development of inclusive sporting opportunities.

Organisations (National Paralympic Committees or National Federations) are invited to express interest in hosting workforce education courses in partnership with WPV.  Being a current WPV member is advantageous, but non-member hosting requests will be granted where there is potential developmental strategic advantage to running the course(s).

If the course request is approved, WPV will work with the hosts to; provide programme material, appoint certified tutors/educators and support with the operational planning, smooth delivery and post course evaluation.

At present, the majority of courses offered are sitting volleyball focused.  If your request is related to another discipline please contact the Development Department to discuss your wishes.

World ParaVolley will always aim to facilitate the member requests but cannot guarantee that all requests can be met.  Requests to host a WPV course should be received at least four months prior to the preferred course date.

Please complete the below linked form and return it to the Development Department to apply to host a course:

Webinars

World ParaVolley put together a Virtual ParaVolley Webinar Series to offer presentations that are of interest to our membership.  We have reached out to all our stakeholders to collect some suggestions on possible webinar topics and potential speakers.

These would be topics that could be presented in 90 to 120-minute sessions and would be offered in different time zones to increase accessibility.

Volunteering

Volunteers are the backbone of any sports events, ensuring their success and smooth operation. From supporting the athletes and teams, or managing the court, volunteers fill a wide range of crucial roles. Their dedication not only enhances the event experience for participants and spectators but also fosters a sense of community and self-satisfaction.

For more information about volunteering at a ParaVolley event please contact the respective host.
