Ivan has been playing sitting volleyball since 2007 and is still currently training and competing with Team Croatia and his club IOK ”Zagreb”.

Ivan has been the PVE Athlete representative since 2019 and a PVE Board member, and is currently active in the World Anti-Doping Agency Athlete Council.
