Gerflor and World ParaVolley extend agreement

Gerflor have been an approved sitting volleyball floor provider for the past 4 years and have agreed to continue to support World ParaVolley for the next 4 years. The Taraflex and Sport Court surfaces are officially approved by World ParaVolley for world-wide use and Taraflex will be the sitting volleyball surface used at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Gerflor Sport Federations and Events  Manager, Lionel Arlin said:

“Gerflor is pleased to announce a new 4-year partnership agreement with World ParaVolley. Gerflor is the official floor supplier for all their events. Thanks to the Taraflex floor and its Protecsol surface treatment, players will be able to safely give their best. The two major benefits are outstanding comfort and great speed properties. The floor also protects their skin while moving and gives them an unequalled comfort of play with no friction burns. Moreover, tests were conducted by VirHealth, one of the world leading virologist laboratory, according to ISO 21702 (standard for antiviral activity on plastic and other non-porous surfaces), and these tests have proven that Gerflor floors have anti-viral activity against Human Coronaviruses: they reduce the number of viruses by 99,7% after 2h00.“

World Paravolley President, Barry Couzner OAM said:

“It is fantastic for our athletes that Gerflor has agreed to continue with homologation of their playing surfaces for sitting volleyball with Taraflex being used for Tokyo2020 later this year. Gerflor have been a great partner who provide the athletes’ favourite playing surface and we look forward to supporting Gerflor in the coming years at our major events”
